The COSADOCA (Consortium to save estate documentation in case of disaster) aims at an inter-institutional collaboration for the saving of estate documents in case of a catastrophe in the west zone of Lausanne (Dorigny and EPFL). Created in 2003, this consortium reunites:
A free public institute in the service of memoirs and of estates. The cantonal archive conserves the archives of the public administration of the canton of Vaud and private archives for a total of more than 1800 funds.
A public institution with a calling concerning estates - cultural and academic. The BCU offers the user more than 1, 8 million documents and conserves estates made up of a diversity of tens of thousands of precious books and manuscripts.
A specialized library in science and technology which offers its services to students, researchers, teachers and private people. They deal with archiving and spreading theses from the EPFL and conserving, among other things, a collection of rare and precious books.
